NORFOLK, Va. – Closing out a seven-match road swing with the first of two in the state this week, the Old Dominion men's tennis team heads up Interstate 64 to face the Tribe of William & Mary on Wednesday night.

The match is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. from the McCormack-Nagelsen Center and can be viewed here.

The Monarchs are 3-3 after splitting action in New York ending with a 4-3 win over St. John's on Feb. 6.

So far through six matches this spring, Codie van Schalkwyk leads the Monarchs with a 4-2 record in singles while Luca Maldoner is 3-2.  In doubles, Oliver Nolan, Younes Lalami and van Schalkwyk have a pair of wins each.

The Tribe is also 3-3 after defeating Radford 5-2 on Sunday.  Harrison Brown leads the team in singles with a 10-3 record this year, including the fall.  Daniel Pellerito and Sebastien Quiros follow him with seven wins.

Going back to 2003, this series is very tight with ODU leading 14-13 and the closeness is noted by ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller. "Playing W&M is always special with the proximity and history of our schools. Playing an evening match also adds some excitement," he said.  "They beat us last time and have a very talented and well coached team. We gotta bring our A-game tomorrow on the road."
