Monarchs Climb Leaderboard in Round Two of Advance Golf Partners Collegiate

PALM CITY, Fla. – The Old Dominion men's golf team was one of the biggest risers on Monday, jumping six spots into solo eighth after the second round of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at the par-72, 7,169-yard Hammock Creek Golf Club.
 
The Monarchs carded a 7-over 295 on Monday, the third-best round of the day, for a two-day total of 592 (+16). Only George Mason, who shot a Monday-best 291, jumped higher up the leaderboard than the Monarchs, rising 10 places into a tie for sixth.
 
Jakob Henriksson weighed four birdies against four bogeys for an even-par 72 on Monday, the best round by a Monarch at the tournament thus far. The sophomore is currently tied for 20th at 2-over 146.
 
Rasmus Konradsson posted a second consecutive 74 and is tied for 30th at 148 (+4). Gustav Fransson and Kazuki Yamauchi sit together in 38th place at 149. Fransson fired a 76 on Monday, and Yamauchi shot 73. Jakob Chicoyne rounded out the Monarchs with an 82.
 
UNCG shot the low round of the day (292, +4) to move into a tie for first with Creighton at 4-over 580. UConn and Mercer are tied for third seven shots behind the co-leaders.
 
Presten Richardson of Western Carolina signed for a second straight round in the 60s to take sole possession of first place. He followed up yesterday's 68 with a 67 and is 9-under-par at 135. No. 29 Tobias Jonsson of Mercer and George Mason's J.P. Miller are tied for second at 139.
 
The Advance Golf Partners Collegiate concludes tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
