LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Old Dominion University men's swimming team is set to compete at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships from Wednesday, Feb. 16 through Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Liberty Natatorium.
The meet begins on the 16th with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals set to begin at 6 p.m. The same format will be carried out the entire week. The prelims will be streamed on the Big South Network, while the finals will be on ESPN3. Click here for links for each day of the championship.
Heading into the week, ODU has 21 individual times that have qualified for the NCI (National Invitational Championship), as Jacob Cobb leads the squad with a pair of times in the top-three of his event. Cobb has the third best time among CCSA swimmers so far this season in the 200 backstroke (1:48.46) and 400 IM (3:56.87) and also has the fifth best time in the 50 backstroke (23.35) and sixth best time in the 200 IM (1:50.68).
Noah Wilkins has secured the fourth best time in the 100 freestyle (44.88), fifth best time in the league in the 50 freestyle (20.47) and sixth best time in the 100 backstroke (50.25).
Freshman Carson Doll has a pair of times that rank fifth in the CCSA, both the 1000 (9:41.93) and 1650 (16:19.24) freestyles.
