NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion volleyball team will close out its inaugural season as the Monarchs host West Virginia on Tuesday, March, 30 at the ODU Volleyball Center. First serve is set for 5 p.m.

To accommodate Monarch fans as a result of the difficult circumstances related to the pandemic, the ODU Athletics department is pleased to offer free admission to all ODU volleyball games for the 2021 spring season.  

Most recently, ODU (7-10) dropped a 3-0 match to No. 18 Western Kentucky to finish off C-USA action. Through 17 matches, ODU is hitting .163 and averaging 10.8 kills per set. Individually, Alessia Sgherza paces the Monarch offense, averaging 3.31 kills per set, while averaging 3.66 points per game.

About WVU
The Mountaineers are 5-6 on the road this season and 9-10 overall. They are led by Briana Lynch, who has compiled a .344 hitting percentage. Junior Kristin Lux paces the team with 2.76 kills per set. Head coach Reed Sunahara is in his sixth season at the helm of the WVU program, boasting a 386-255 (.602) head coaching record with stops at Buffalo, Cincinnati and Toledo.

ODU VOLLEYBALL FAN INFORMATION
The Center will have limited capacity (Approx. 200) with socially-distanced seating – Seating is first come, first served.
Entrance will open to patrons 60 minutes prior to the start of the match and is located at the NE corner of the Jim Jarrett Athletic Admin. Bldg.
Matches that are open to the public this season do not require a ticket and are free admittance, based on availability.
Concessions will be available for purchase
COVID-19 Guidelines for attending this season:
Mask required for entry. No gaiters
Maintain social distancing while in the facility
No large gatherings inside the facility (10+)
Please sit in the stands in the designated socially-distanced seat locations
Wash hands frequently
