NORFOLK, Va. – Carter Trice delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Old Dominion University baseball a 2-1 win and complete the three-game sweep over Ball State on Sunday afternoon.

In the 10th, Tommy Bell led off with a single and moved to second on an infield single by Kyle Battle. Kenny Levari followed with a single to load the bases. Trice got down in the count 0-2, but lofted a fly ball to right field to score Bell from third with the winning run.

"It was a fantastic college baseball game! Both teams pitched great, and we finally got a couple hits in the 10th," ODU head coach Chris Finwood said. "I'm really proud of our guys resilience and toughness, and we found a way to sweep a very good baseball team this weekend."

It was a pitcher's duel between starting pitchers Ryne Moore for ODU and Lukas Jaksich for Ball State. Jaksich went 4.2 innings, allowing five hits and a run, and was followed by Tyler Ruetschle, who gave up the game-winner, but pitched 4.2 innings with seven strikeouts.

Moore went 6.1 innings, scattering eight hits and striking out seven. Brad Dobzanski, Noah Dean and Jason Hartline combined for a scoreless 3.2 innings, as Hartline earned the win with 1.2 shutout innings.
