BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced their 2021 All-South Region teams on Monday morning, and a pair of Old Dominion field hockey standouts were honored. 
 
Marlon de Bruijne was a first team selection, while Delphine Le Jeune was a second team honoree.  Both players are repeat selections having earned honors in the spring 2021 season.
 
In 13 games that de Bruijne (Den Bosch, Netherlands) has played in, she has 12 goals (third in BIG EAST), four assists, 28 points (tied for third in BIG EAST) and four game-winners (second in BIG EAST). She leads the Monarchs in goals, points and game-winners this season, as well as shots (68) and shots on goal (37). In ODU's win over Quinnipiac, de Bruijne scored three goals. She was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
 
Le Jeune (Ghent, Belgium) has appeared in all 18 matches this season, while compiling seven goals and six assists for 20 points. Her 20 points rank ninth in the BIG EAST. Eighteen of her 32 shots attempts have been on goal. She scored twice and dished out an assist in ODU's win over Richmond. Le Jeune was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
