MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Tara Enneking and Noah Wilkins led the Old Dominion University men's and women's swimming team on the first night of the West Virginia Invitational on Thursday night.
A year ago, Enneking won the Conference USA Championship in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.41, and on Thursday night at the WVU Invitational she came in second with a time of 2:02.60, a second off the pace of Villanova's Kelly Montesi.
Wilkins came in second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.51, just .11 behind winner Max Gustafon of West Virginia. Liam Redman came in sixth with a time of 20.76.
Jacob Cobb notched a fourth-place spot in the 200 IM, finishing with a time of 1:50.68. He was just .07 out of third place.
Freshman Carson Doll won the B-Final to place ninth with a time of 4:34.26.
Enneking won the B-Final to come in ninth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.66, while Laila Webb finished right behind her in a time of 23.84.
The meet continues tomorrow with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
