BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Old Dominion senior field hockey player Marlee McClendon was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior Team, the NFHCA announced on Monday.
McClendon was one of 38 players to earn the honor bestowed by the NFHCA.
"I'm really pleased and proud to see Marlee recognized for the impact she has made," ODU head coach Andrew Griffiths said. "She has committed a lot of years here to the team and to ODU. She has been a great ambassador for us and has grown a tremendous amount as a person and player since she arrived here on campus."
A senior graduate student from Virginia Beach, McClendon started all 18 games for the Monarchs on defense, registering three assists on the season. She helped ODU allow just 29 goals on the year and four shutouts.
McClendon played in 84 career games with the Monarchs. A two-time All-BIG EAST selection, she recorded 33 career assists.
