DALLAS – Old Dominion University football linebacker Jason Henderson and safety R'Tarriun Johnson were named Conference USA Players of the Week, C-USA announced on Monday. Henderson was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week, while Johnson was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Henderson made 12 tackles, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery in ODU's 30-16 win over FAU on Saturday. He also blocked an extra point that was returned for two points.
Johnson returned the Henderson blocked kick for two points to give ODU a 22-16 lead early in the fourth quarter. Johnson also notched a pair of special teams tackles, two of his six tackles in the game.
Old Dominion (4-6, 3-3) travel to Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Nov. 20 for a 3:30 EST start.
