NORFOLK, Va. – Hoops season is just around the corner and ODU Athletics wants you to travel in style and support the Monarchs not only at home in Chartway Arena, but also on the road. The men's basketball schedule this season presents five great opportunities to see your Monarchs play within a short drive of Hampton Roads. Join our travel partner, Venture Tours, on one of their luxurious coach buses as they take Monarch fans on trips to see the men's basketball team play.
Bus trips will be offered for the following ODU road men's basketball games this season:
James Madison (Saturday, Nov. 13 – Tipoff at 4pm)
East Carolina (Tuesday, Nov. 30 – Tipoff at 7pm)
George Mason (Saturday, Dec. 4 – Tipoff at 7pm)
William & Mary (Tuesday, Dec. 7 – Tipoff at 7pm)
Richmond (Sunday, Dec. 19 – Tipoff at 4pm)
"This is a really cool idea and will be a lot of fun for Monarch fans to see the team in action against some old rivals," said ODU head coach Jeff Jones.
For each of the five games, Venture will drive fans to and from the game all on the same day. Buses will pick up and drop off on the 45th street side of Chartway Arena. Parking is available in the parking decks adjacent to Chartway Arena. Venture will also pick up fans at the Indian River Road Park and Ride at the intersection of Indian River Road and Reon Drive.
Fans have the option to purchase a combo bus ride and game ticket up until one week prior to each game. Fans may also select to purchase a bus ride only and secure their game ticket separately.
Pricing:
James Madison: $92 with a ticket, $80 without a ticket
East Carolina: $64 with a ticket, $54 without a ticket
George Mason: $83 with a ticket, $68 without a ticket
William & Mary: $52 with a ticket, $42 without a ticket
Richmond: $62 with a ticket, $50 without a ticket
