NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's soccer team prepares to travel to Miami to take on No. 17 FIU on Friday night. This match will be streamed through CUSA.tv beginning at 7 p.m. 

Old Dominion (2-6-1, 0-3-1 C-USA) is coming off a 2-0 loss against No. 4 Kentucky on Friday night. Eliot Goldthorp led the Monarchs offense with two shots. Goldthorp leads the team with three goals, one assist, seven points and 20 shots.  

Djibril Doumbia played 90 minutes in goal recording four saves on six shots faced. Doumbia is seventh in the conference for goals against average (1.859) and saves (39), and third in saves per game (3.9).  

FIU (9-1-2, 4-0-1 C-USA) is coming off a 2-1 win over Coastal Carolina after two late goals on Tuesday night. The panthers were led by Carlos Scheckermann who had four shots, three on goal, and scored his first goal of the season. Kareem Riley scored the first goal for FIU off a penalty kick. 

Stephen Afrifa leads FIU with six goals, two assists, 14 points, and 35 shots. Afrifa is fourth in C-USA in goals (seven), second in shots (40), and first in shots on goal (20). Grant Makela is third in shutouts (three) and goals against average (.825) and ranked fifth in saves (17). 

FIU is ranked 17th in the United Soccer Coaches poll and is in 14th in RPI. 

ODU and FIU most recently took the field in March, when ODU fell 5-0 in Virginia.
