RICHMOND, Va. – Members of the Old Dominion men's tennis team wrapped up action at the River City Tennis Open held at the at the Collegiate School Williams-Bollettieri Tennis Center.
Francois Le Tallec and Codie van Schalkwyk each won their respective singles flights. Oliver Nolan, as well as Younes Lalami claimed second place within their draws.
Lalami and Nolan teamed up in doubles to win the Blue Draw, while Le Tallec played with Michael Walser and finished in the second place of the Green Draw.
"We played a lot of matches compressed into two days due to the weather," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "I felt like we played well on Friday and looked determined and focused throughout the entire day. Even though we won several flights, I wasn't happy how we finished the last day overall. If we want to accomplish our goal, we need to learn how to play three to four quality matches in one weekend and that's why these fall tournaments are so valuable."
The River City Tennis Open raises both awareness and money for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond.
