NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's golf team starts its fall season this Monday at the two-day VCU Shootout, hosted by VCU at the Country Club of Virginia's Tuckahoe Creek Course. Live scoring of the event can be found on Golfstat.
The Monarchs competed in six events in the spring and placed sixth at the Conference USA Championship. Gustav Fransson was the 36-hole leader at the conference tournament and finished third. In the spring, Fransson posted the lowest stroke average among ODU's returners at 72.7. Jakob Henriksson was close behind with a 72.9 scoring average. Henriksson became the first Old Dominion freshman since 2016 to take individual medalist honors at an event when he won the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate by six strokes.
