NORFOLK, Va. – Angie Hind's women's soccer team was picked to finish fourth in the East Division according to the Conference USA Preseason Poll, which is voted on by the coaches in the league. Midfielder Ece Turkoglu was named to the All C-USA Preseason Team as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
The 2021 spring season concluded with a 4-5-2 record for the Monarchs and 3-2-1 in conference play. ODU was successful in making it to the Conference USA Tournament where they played in the quarterfinals against Rice.
Ece Turkoglu was one of the top goal scorers for the Monarchs with two goals during her 11 games in the 2021 spring season. Turkoglu finished the season being named to the All-Conference USA First Team, the Conference USA All-Academic Second Team, the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Third Team and the All-State Second Team. In 2019, Turkoglu was named the Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Year, as well as was named to the All-League Third Team and All-Freshman squad on top of being named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-South Region Team.
Ticket voucher books are on sale now. Each voucher book contains 25 tickets and is priced at $50, which is a 60 percent savings off the single-game ticket price. Vouchers are good for any regular season home game played at the ODU Soccer Complex, Volleyball Center or Bud Metheny Baseball Stadium, and can be presented at the gate for admission.
