Field Hockey Places 12 on BIG EAST All-Academic Team

NEW YORK – A total of 12 members of the Old Dominion field hockey team were honored on the 2020-21 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.
 
Cam MacGillivray and Riley Taylor placed on the all-academic team for a third-consecutive year. Lauren Arledge, Alice Demars and Nicole Fredricks all made the team for a second year in a row. First-time honorees include Lauren Holbrook, Delphine Le Jeune, Evelyn Murray, Shannon Quaile, Rina Tsioles, Jolene Ulichney and Ilse Westera.
 
To be eligible for the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses. In total, 3,075 student-athletes were honored for the 2020-21 academic year.
