IRVING, Texas – The Old Dominion University baseball team earned the No. 4 seed in the 2021 Conference USA Baseball Championship and will take on No. 5 seed Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at the brand new J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston, Louisiana, May 26-30. 
 
Earlier this season in Boca Raton, ODU took 3-of-4 games from FAU. The Monarchs won on Friday, 7-2, as Kyle Battle hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to snap a 2-2 tie. ODU swept the Saturday doubleheader by scores of 10-3 and 8-2. FAU won the Sunday finale, 4-0.
 
ODU ends the regular season with a pair of games at Louisiana Tech on Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21. 
 
Charlotte is the No. 1 seed and takes on No. 8 seed Middle Tennessee, while Louisiana Tech won the C-USA West Division and earned the No. 2 seed. They take on No. 7 seed UTSA. The final first round matchup features No. 3 seed Southern Miss against No. 6 seed WKU.
 
ODU (No. 23), LA Tech (No. 14), Southern Miss (No. 19) and Charlotte (No. 20) are all ranked in the top-25 by D1Baseball.com.
