COLUMBUS, Ohio – Competing in her final round of the season, Old Dominion women's golf junior Leah Onosato carded a 9-over 81 in the third round of the NCAA Columbus Regional, hosted by Ohio State University at the par-72, 6,358-yard OSU Golf Club Scarlet Course. Onosato finished tied for 55th at 14-over 230 in the second NCAA Regional appearance of her career.
"It was a tough day on the course for us, but overall a great week for ODU women's golf," head coach Mallory Hetzel said. "Leah was one good round away from the National Championship. This was an important step in our progression to getting better. We will learn a lot from this experience, and it will help us greatly in the future. Leah represented ODU with a lot of class, and we are very proud of her. She is already looking forward to being back here next year with her teammates."
The native of Kumamoto, Japan notched one birdie and 10 pars across the final 18 holes. For the tournament, Onosato had six total birdies.
