NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team concludes its season with a pair of home conference tilts with No. 9 Florida on Friday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. Sunday represents Senior Day for the six-member senior class of 2021.
 
ABOUT ODU
The Monarchs return home following four-straight road games against American Athletic Conference competition. Most recently, ODU dropped a pair of games to Cincinnati.
 
In the first game with the Bearcats, Lilly Siskind and Caroline Shaefer each notched hat tricks for the Monarchs. Siskind is top-10 in the American in both goals (27) and total points (38). Shaefer netted all three of her goals from free position opportunities and ranks seventh in the conference in conversion percentage from eight meters out.
 
Claire Porter scored her second hat trick of the season in the second game with Cincinnati. She ranks second on the team with 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists).
 
Lauren Carey ranks second in the American with 1.62 caused turnovers per game, and her 3.0 ground balls per contest are third-best in the conference.
 
On Sunday, the Monarchs will recognize Lindsay Baer, Madison Corcoran, Brooke Frey, Heather Higgins, Isabelle O'Connell and Kortney Parker on Senior Day.
 
ABOUT FLORIDA
The Gators are looking for a perfect record in the American this season and enter the final weekend having clinched at least a share of the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Florida is coming off a home sweep of Vanderbilt last weekend.
 
A pair of Gators earned weekly recognition from the American following their series with the Commodores. Brianna Harris was named Attacker of the Week after tallying six goals and five assists, and Midfielder of the Week Shannon Kavanagh notched 10 goals and 21 draw controls.

Old Dominion and Florida are meeting for the first time.

COVID POLICIES
The L.R. Hill Sports Complex will welcome 600 fans on a first come, first served basis. The main gate opens 60 minutes prior to the start of the match. Spectator parking is available in Lot 43. Tailgating is not permitted.

Fans in attendance must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Mask required for entry. No gaiters.
  • Maintain social distancing while in the facility.
  • No large gatherings inside the facility (10+).
  • Please sit in the stands in the designated locations.
  • Wash hands frequently.
