BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Old Dominion baseball team's 10-game win streak was snapped on Sunday as the Monarchs fell to Florida Atlantic, 4-0 on the road.

ODU has won 12 of their last 14 games, and all three Conference USA series, including the last two on the road. ODU won the first three games of the weekend, including a doubleheader sweep yesterday.

"It was a tough day to hit with the wind blowing hard in from left field. That probably cost us a couple home runs. Having said that, their starter Javi Rivera pitched great and they deserved to win the ball game," ODU head coach Chris Finwood said. "You're not going to win them all in baseball and it just shows how tough it is to win down here. I'm really proud of our guys winning seven out of eight on our road trip. We're 30 games into our season and it's our first road loss of the year, which speaks to the toughness of this team! I thought Ryne Moore got back to pitching like we're used to seeing him and that's a positive for us as we move forward with the season. We played error-free baseball this entire weekend, which was also a plus."

An eighth inning FAU (16-16, 5-7 C-USA) home run snapped the Owls seven-game losing streak.

Sunday starting pitcher Ryne Moore threw six scoreless frames. The junior struck out five batters while allowing four hits.

In the ninth inning, ODU (24-6, 10-2 C-USA) loaded the bases with one out, but FAU struck out two Monarchs to end the game.

Overall, Tommy Bell went 2-for-3. Freshman Noah Dean was charged with the loss.
