SUNSET, S.C. – With three more holes left to play in the Clemson Invitational, the Old Dominion women's golf team sits in a tie for 12th. Play was suspended due to weather. The remaining three holes will be completed on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
"We battled again today. It was another long, tough day on the golf course and we played very steady," ODU head coach Mallory Hetzel said. "A couple of birdies tomorrow morning and we will move up the leaderboard."
ODU completed the second round of the tournament with a 14-over 302. Through 15 holes of the final round, ODU is nine over.
Senior Noemie Sudron led ODU in the second round, putting together a one-over 73. She compiled three birdies and 11 pars in the second set of 18 holes. Jana Melichova shot a 75 (+3), a one stroke improvement from her first round. Leah Onosato and Elsie Verhoeven carded 77s, while Pilar Muguruza rounded things out with an 84.
