Atlanta, Ga. – Tara Enneking won the B-Final of the 100 breaststroke at the Conference USA Women's Swimming Championships on Friday night in Atlanta. Enneking's ninth place overall finish comes a night after winning the 400 IM.
Enneking took ninth overall in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.01. If she was in the A-Final, she would have placed seventh with that time. Paige Romine placed 12th with a time of 1:04.32, while Katie Ellett was 18th with a time of 1:06.33
Ellett placed 14th in the 400 IM with a time of 4:36.96, just in front of her teammate, Becca Mayo, who recorded a time of 4:38.55.
In the 100 butterfly, Stephanie Nardone finished 23rd with a time of 56.82.
For the Monarchs in the 200 freestyle, Miranda Byrne recorded a 15th place finish with a time of 1:53.00, while Brigid Donnelly won the C-Final to place 17th with a time of 1:53.42. Kinsey Rushevics swam a time of 1:55.78 to finish 20th, while Nikia Campbell was 23rd with a time of 1:57.67. Madison Sitton was 24th and recorded a time of 1:59.14
In the final event of the night, Alizee Brossier recorded a 13th place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.86, while Summer Sampson finished 16th with a time of 57.40. Peri Farling won the C-Final for 17thposition with a time of 56.95, while Peyton Turner took 19th with a time of 58.46.
ODU competes tomorrow in the final day of the championships, beginning with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
