ABOUT ODU
The Monarchs jumped out to a 2-0 start in conference play with a pair of wins against Temple last weekend. ODU took the opener with a 3-2 shootout victory before clamping down on the Owls for a 1-0 shutout win on Sunnday.

Cam MacGillivray and Marlon de Bruijne received weekly honors from the BIG EAST for the roles they played in the weekend sweep. MacGillivray was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week and received additional recognition as the Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week after she ended the shootout with a dramatic save from the 7-yard penalty spot and made a pair of saves in Sunday's shutout. The BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, de Bruijne scored both of ODU's goals in regulation on Saturday before adding a pair of successful tries, including the decisive one, in the shootout.

The sweep of Temple pushed the Monarchs' winning streak in BIG EAST games to seven, dating back to 2019.
