IRVING, Texas – Old Dominion University women's swimmer Summer Sampson was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, C-USA announced on Wednesday. The vote is conducted by the league's academic advisors.
A sophomore from Virginia Beach, Sampson won a pair of events for the Monarchs in their only meet of the season. She won the 100 and 200 backstroke in ODU's win over Campbell.
Sampson is a dental hygiene major who is carrying a 3.98 GPA. A member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and winner of the C-USA Academic Medal, she has earned Dean's List honors.
