BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Redshirt junior goalkeeper Cam MacGillivray racked up yet another major honor as she was named the Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
The BIG EAST's Defensive Player of the Week, MacGillivray factored heavily in both of Old Dominion's wins against Temple over the weekend. In a 3-2 shootout victory on Saturday, she made four saves in 80 minutes and highlighted the shootout with a dramatic stop from the 7-yard penalty spot to win the match for the Monarchs.
The next day, MacGillivray made two saves in a 1-0 shutout victory as ODU improved to 2-0 in the BIG EAST. Over the two games, the native of Calgary, Alberta posted a .750 save percentage with a 0.86 goals against average.
