LYNCHBURG, Va. – Noah Wilkins won the 100 freestyle, and Peter Durisin won the 200 breaststroke for Old Dominion University men's swimming on the final day of the CCSA Championships. It was the second win of the championships for Durisin, as he won the 100 breaststroke on Saturday night.
"I am extremely proud of this team and all they achieved this weekend. Their dedication to our goals both individually and as a team are apparent each practice and their continued successes are well deserved," head coach Jess Livsey said. "We will take a short break but then will be excited to host William and Mary for our final home meet and Senior Day on March 13. I'm looking forward to many great things to come for the Monarchs!"
Jacob Cobb earned his second silver medal in as many days, this one in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:46.66. Hugo Eriksson also swam in the A-Final and placed eighth with a time of 1:53.12.
Wilkins won the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.72, topping second place finisher Alex Peckman (FAU) by nearly one second. Parker Harp placed ninth with a time of 46.13.
Durisin won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:59.13, topping Daniel Sims of Bellarmine by more than a second.
The Monarchs finished in fourth place overall with 587 points, while Gardner-Webb won the event with 1,059.
