On Sept. 22, 2018, Old Dominion stunned the football world with a 49-35 win over Virginia Tech. Blake LaRussa passed for 495 yards and four touchdowns, throwing for the second most yards allowed by a Tech defense. ODU gained 632 yards, the most ever allowed by a Bud Foster defense and when Jeremy Cox ripped off a 40-yard touchdown run to clinch the historic victory.
