NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University athletics has announced Friday, July 24 as the new deadline to purchase football season tickets. ODU hosts ACC foe Wake Forest on Friday, Sept. 4 to open the 2020 season and the Demon Deacons are the first of seven home games for the Monarchs this year, including an Oct. 24 tilt against Virginia.
Mindful of the pandemic, ODU delayed the renewal deadline multiple times in an effort to help its faithful fans.
With football student-athletes starting to come back to campus, ODU has set July 24 as a renewal deadline.
Things to Know - Deadline
The revised priority deadline for purchasing season tickets is Friday, July 24. The most exciting home schedule in program history starts on Friday, Sept. 4 against Wake Forest. If you are an ODAF member and desire 2020 benefits, you must make your commitment by July 24.
What if I don't want to renew for 2020, but do for 2021?
If fans decide not to renew seats for 2020 because of concern attending games, they can retain the same location for the 2021 season. All account holders that purchased tickets in 2019 will have the option to retain their tickets for 2021.
Will I get a refund if football season is disrupted?
Yes. Fans will have multiple options. If games are not played or certain games are impacted by COVID-19, you can do one of the following:
- Receive credit to your account for 2021 football season tickets.
- Ticket credit amounts can be converted to a charitable donation to the ODAF to assist with student-athlete scholarships.
- Receive a full refund for all impacted games.
Old Dominion is taking guidelines from the state to determine seating capacity. There has been no determination at this time in regards to what that capacity will be.
