ODU Athletics and ODAF are extending the renewal deadlines for both football season tickets and ODAF donations until June 1 due to the ongoing health and economic crisis from the coronavirus pandemic. Ticket holders can also select a new extended payment plan that covers five months and stretches payments through September 1.
We hope these changes provide benefit and relief in these challenging times for our donors and ticket holders. We look forward to the opportunity to gather again to support the Monarchs at our various athletic venues. ODU Athletics and ODAF will continue to communicate new information to fans and ticket holders throughout this crisis via email, our website (www.odusports.com) and our social media accounts. These supporters are encouraged to reach out via the methods outlined below with individual questions or concerns.
Season Ticket Renewal and ODAF Donation Deadline Extended to June 1
The deadline for season ticket holders from the 2019 season to secure the same seats for the 2020 season has been extended by one month to June 1. Ticket holders will also receive priority over new buyers to move to alternate seat locations by committing by the revised deadline. The best way to reach the ticket office is ODUtickets@odu.edu. Fans can also leave a message at (757) 683-4444 and the ticket staff, which is working remotely, will return the call. Season ticket holders looking to renew can click here.
The deadline for gift commitments to the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation for 2020-21 benefits has also been extended from May 1 to June 1. ODAF offers a payment plan option. You can ask questions at ODAF@odu.edu.
New Payment Plan
To assist ticket customers with finances, ODU is announcing a new five-payment plan. The first payment will be charged at the time of purchase and will equal 20% of the total seat cost, plus processing fees. Additional payments will be charged to the provided credit card equally on June 1, July 1, August 1 and September 1. Please ensure that the credit card expiration is later than September 1 before selecting the payment plan option.
Reminder About New Ticket Prices
Several months ago, we announced a new ticket pricing structure. Several sections of reserved seats are priced at $150 per seat for the seven-game home schedule. Using the payment plan above, patrons can purchase two season tickets in these sections and pay $60 per month. Our communications, marketing and creative service teams are working to provide new content for you and your family during this time at home. For example, we recently posted and sent out three Big Blue coloring pages. The content is available on our website (www.odusports.com), through our Twitter or Facebook pages. We are also fortunate to have Harry Minium, the longtime Virginia Pilot sportswriter, and Ted Alexander, the voice of the Monarchs, to provide additional content for our website and social media channels.
