Taylor Heinicke

ODU had five former Monarchs play in the NFL this weekend. Here is how they did.

For the first time since Dec. 23, 2018, Taylor Heinicke played in an NFL game. Heinicke replaced Dwayne Haskins in the fourth quarter and completed 12-of-19 passes for 137 yards and tossed a 29-yard touchdown pass. He also rushed three times for 22 yards. Washington head coach Ron Rivera announced Heinicke will start next Sunday if Alex Smith cannot play.

Zach Pascal had three receptions for 64 yards and a 42 yard touchdown catch in the Colts' 28-24 loss to the Steelers.

Rick Lovato had five punt snaps and three kick snaps as the long snapper for the Eagles.

Rashaad Coward played on special teams for the Bears in a 41-17 win over the Jaguars.

Tim Ward was a gameday inactive for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jeremy Cox is on the practice squad for the Denver Broncos.

Oshane Ximines has been placed on season-ending injured reserve.
