NORFOLK, Va. - ODUSports.com caught up with Old Dominion women's basketball alumni TJ Jordan. While at ODU, Jordan was a two-time CAA Tournament MVP, three-time CAA All-Conference selection and set multiple three-point field goal records. Jordan is the 15th all-time leading scorer in ODU history, scoring 1,525 career points. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in elementary education.
Q: What have you been up to since graduating from Old Dominion? (job, hobbies, etc.)
TJ: I work at a high school in the special education department, I recently obtained my Master's Degree in Human Service Counseling: Health and Wellness, wife of almost 10 years, and mother to 3 handsome boys.
Q: What was your most memorable game playing in a Monarch jersey?
TJ: There was so many, but one that stands out is when I hit 10 three pointers at Northeastern. I could not have done that without my teammates and celebrating with them was a moment I will never forget.
Q: How did your time at ODU prepare you for life after graduation?
TJ: My time at ODU prepared me to be optimistic about the future and to pick a career that you love.
Q: You've etched your name in the ODU women's basketball record books, what is the biggest thing that stands out for you during your time at ODU, whether it be on the court, in the classroom, or anything else.
TJ: Winning 4 straight CAA championships, which was harder each and every year and being a part of a winning culture will always stand out to me.
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to a Monarch basketball player, what would it be?
TJ: I would say make as many memories as possible because life is short and no day on or off the court is guaranteed.
Q: Are there any former Monarchs you still keep in touch with? If so, who?
TJ: Mela Caldwell is a big sister to me and we stay in touch always, and then there is this great thing called social media so a lot of us stay in touch that way.
