ATLANTA – Three former members of the Old Dominion lacrosse team, Ashmore Standing, Morgan Gallagher and Connor Carson, were selected as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference's (ASUN) Women's Lacrosse All-Decade Team, the conference announced on Thursday afternoon.

The ASUN Conference first sponsored women's lacrosse in the 2013 season. The Monarchs were admitted into the conference prior to the 2015 season and left to compete in the BIG EAST after the 2018 season. However, in the four-year period that ODU was in the ASUN, the Monarchs had a 43-31 record, 20-10 in conference, and were crowned the 2016 ASUN Champions en route to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Standing, Gallagher and Carson are all among the greatest players who have ever donned a Monarchs jersey. They each had a hand in leading ODU to its second conference championship in program history.

Standing was a member of the ODU lacrosse program from 2012-2016, registering 218 points and 174 goals, good for second and third all-time, respectively. While the Monarchs were in the ASUN, Standing netted 119 goals in 38 games, good for a mark of 3.13 goals a game, which currently is the second-highest goals per game average in conference history. She is tied for the conference record with seven game-winning goals and can be found in the conference's top-three in points per game (4.05, third) and shots per game (6.65, third).

In her senior season, the Virginia Beach native led the conference in both goals (67) and points (82) and was named the 2016 ASUN Player of the Year, becoming just the third Monarch in ODU lacrosse program history to be named conference player of the year. In the ASUN Championship victory over Detroit, Standing tallied three goals and three assists and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

In total, Standing was named first team All-ASUN twice and was a two-time member of the ASUN All-Tournament Team. In her senior season, Standing was named a MidMajor Lacrosse Second-Team All-American after being named a MidMajor Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American the year before.

Gallagher, a leader on the defensive side of the ball, was crowned the 2016 ASUN Tournament MVP after helping lead ODU to its second conference championship in program history. In the two seasons the Monarchs played in the ASUN while she was still on the team, Gallagher was named first team All-ASUN in 2015, second team All-ASUN in 2016, a two-time ASUN All-Academic Team selection and a MidMajor Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American in 2015.

The West Chester, Pa. native was a part of the ODU lacrosse program from 2012-2016 and currently sits ninth all-time in program history in career caused turnovers with 67.

Carson was a three-time first team All-ASUN selection from 2015-2017, one of just 11 three-time all-conference winners in ASUN history. The midfielder can be seen scattered throughout the conference's record books, as she is tied for ninth in goals (107), fourth in draw controls (188), seventh in shots (262) and eighth in caused turnovers (65).

In her career with ODU, which spanned from 2014-2017, Carson holds the Monarchs record with 201 draw controls. She also ranks in the top-10 in program history in cause turnovers (80, fourth) and goals (120, 10th).
