No. 2 – ODU opens Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium with 24-21 win over Norfolk State.
Elijah Davis scored on a two-yard touchdown run with 3:21 left in the fourth quarter to lift Old Dominion football to a 24-21 win over Norfolk State in the 2019 season opener, and the first game in the newly renovated Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
Foreman Field was demolished following the 2018 home finale against VMI, and in nine months turned into the beautiful new S.B. Ballard Stadium.
Kesean Strong scored the first touchdown in ODU's new digs, and the Monarchs led 17-0 before the Spartans mounted a comeback, leading to ODU's game-winning drive and the final Davis score.
