VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Old Dominion women's golf team took a fifth place finish after posting a two-over 282 on Sunday afternoon at their home tournament, the Princess Anne Invitational. ODU was led by sophomore Jana Melichova for the second-straight weekend.
In the opening round of the tournament, ODU posted a 287 and sat in sixth place. The Monarchs remained in sixth through round two after posting a 292.
In the final round, ODU posted two scores under par in Melichova's 69 (-1) and Bolčíková's 68 (-2). Bolčíková posted a career low as a Monarch on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Pilar Muguruza finished tied for 26th, while Noemie Sudron and Leah Onosato both tied for 31st. The final round 282 pushed the Monarchs ahead of Coastal Carolina.
