NORFOLK, Va. - The Red Flash (1-1) defeated the Old Dominion (0-3) men's soccer team by a 2-0 final score on Sunday night. Freshman keeper Djibril Doumbia made six saves against St. Francis (Pa.).
ODU and the Red Flash were scoreless after the first 45 minutes of play.
St. Francis scored in the 55th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Not long after, Felix Tonne knocked his second of the night to give the Red Flash a 2-0 lead in the 61st.
Despite a 5-4 advantage in corners, the Monarchs dropped their third-straight on Sunday night.
Jimmy Filerman took three shots. Edison Giron and Jose Olmos both made their first career starts.
