NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (1-4-1, 0-1-1 C-USA) men’s soccer team will host Marshall University (5-1-1, 1-0-0 C-USA) as part of a double header with women’s soccer on Friday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. The Monarchs are coming off a tough 5-0 loss against #22 FIU Saturday night.
Deniz Dogan leads the Monarchs with four goals and eight total points this season. The Monarchs will look to grab their second win of this season.
About Marshall
Marshall holds a solid record of 5-1-1 this season. Most recently, they are coming off a narrow 2-1 win against Akron. Pedro Dolabella and Jamil Roberts lead the team offensively with seven points each. They're currently undefeated in league play with a 2-0 win over South Carolina. They received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Last season, ODU loss 2-4 to Marshall in Huntington, W. Va. Overall, ODU holds a 5-3-0 mark over Marshall.
