One of the all-time great defensive players at Old Dominion University soccer history. Sean Fahey was the Monarchs starting halfback for four seasons. He earned All-State honors three times and was twice selected to the All South region team.
In 1975, Fahey helped lead the Monarchs to a 13-2 record and to the school's first NCAA Division II regional tournament. The Monarchs won a school record 13 straight matches. His senior year, the Monarchs were 9-5-1 and competed in the ECAC South Regional.
Fahey was named All-South Region in 1977 and 1978. He was the first Old Dominion University soccer player to earn that honor. Fahey captained the Monarchs in 1977 and 1978. He was named to the Harbor Front Kiwanis Classic All-Tournament squad in 1977 and 1978 and twice selected to the William and Mary Invitaional All-Tournament squad.
The Springfield, Va., native graduated from Old Dominion in 1979 with a degree in biology. He lives in Virginia Beach, Va. And has his own landscaping compnay.
