IRVING, Texas -- Following a four-home run week, Old Dominion first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino has been named the Conference USA Co-Hitter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
In four games, Pasquantino went 8-for-16 for a .500 average with four home runs and six RBIs. The junior from Moseley hit three homers in the LA Tech series, including two in the rubber match.
Pasquantino opened the week by going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in the Commonwealth Classic victory over Virginia Tech. He then went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in game one against LA Tech, 1-for-4 with a solo home run in game two and 3-for-4 with the two home runs and four RBIs in game three.
Pasquantino now has 13 home runs this season, tied for the fourth-most in program history.
