ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The First 2019 Conference USA Baseball Championship presented by Air Force Reserve will be held May 22-26 at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi. The Championship will feature the top eight teams in regular season league play. The format is two double-elimination brackets with four teams each, with the winners of each bracket meeting in a single-elimination championship game. Southern Miss is the defending champion.

Old Dominion is the No. 5 seed and enters the tournament with a 15-5 record in the last 20 league games. ODU takes on the No. 4 seed WKU, who the Monarchs just won 2-of-3 against in Bowling Green last weekend, in the opening round. ODU is also on the same side of the bracket as No. 1 seed Florida Atlantic and No. 8 seed UTSA. In the regular season, the Monarchs won the series against all three teams on their side of the bracket.
