BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- With yet another miraculous 9th-inning rally, Old Dominion ended the regular season by knocking off Western Kentucky, 12-10, in come-from-behind fashion to clinch the series on Saturday at Nick Denes Field.
Trailing 10-5 in the ninth, Old Dominion (35-19, 16-14) scored seven runs, all with two outs, to secure the Monarchs' seventh consecutive conference series, a new school record.
Andy Garriola started the two-out rally with a 2-RBI single to make it a 10-7 game. Will Morgan then tied it up with one swing of the bat, a three-run home run into the wind to right field.
Ryan Teschko then scored the game-winning run from second, after a WKU middle-infield mishap on a Tommy Bell ground ball.
