OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Old Dominion rowing team took seventh at their first-ever American Athletic Conference Championship on Friday afternoon. Senior Taylor Phy was named to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team. 

In a delayed start due to heavy winds, the Monarchs opened up racing with a seventh place finish in the 2V8+ race posting a 8:16.737 time. Taking sixth in the 1V4+ boat, they posted a 8:41.923 time to finish ahead of Connecticut. Closing out action for the Monarchs was the 1V8+ boat, who took seventh with a time of 7:47.229.
