TEXARKANA, Ark. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team concluded its 2018-19 season with an 11th-place finish at the Conference USA Championship this week at Texarkana Country Club.
Old Dominion turned in its best round of the event, carding a 1-under 287 on Tuesday, which tied for the best round of any team in the final round.
UTSA (E), Middle Tennessee (+4), Charlotte (+5) and UAB (+7) finished in the top four and advanced to tomorrow's match play round to determine a team champion.
Individually, Gustav Fransson (+2) fired a 3-under 69 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 17th. Senior Calvin Greschner (+5) finished behind Fransson, tying for 27th.
Carter Morgan (+10) had the second-best final round of any Monarch, shooting an even-par 72 to climb his way to a 40th-place finish.
Doug Rios Ceballos (+12; t-47th) and Chandler Wilkins (+14; t-52nd) rounded out the ODU lineup and both shot 73s on Tuesday.
Rice's Jake Benson (-5) was the individual medalist.
