TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Through the opening 36 holes of stroke play, the Old Dominion men's golf team sits in 12th place at the Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club.
Old Dominion (+28) carded team rounds of 305 and 299. UTSA (-1) leads the 13-team field. WKU (+3) is second, UAB (+4) sits in third and Middle Tennessee (+5) is fourth. The top four teams qualify for match play.
Individually, Calvin Greschner (+2) is tied for 17th, after firing a 1-under 71 in Monday's second round. Gustav Fransson (+5) is tied for 32nd after rounds of 73 and 76.
Rounding out the ODU lineup were Carter Morgan (+10; t-52nd), Doug Rios Ceballos (+11; t-55th) and Chandler Wilkins (+13; t-58th).
Rice's Jake Benson (-6) is the individual leader.
Two rounds were played on Monday due to forecasted weather later in the week. The final 18 holes of stroke play is set for tomorrow. The top four teams then advance to match play to determine a team champion.
The Monarchs tee off at 9:50 a.m. ET tomorrow on the back nine. ODU is paired with Marshall and Florida Atlantic.
