Update: Due to forecasted weather, the 1st and 2nd round (36 holes) will be played on Monday on carts. The 3rd round will be played on Tuesday with the possibility of match play semifinals to follow. That decision will be made on Tuesday morning.
TEXARKANA, Ark. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team heads to Texarkana for the 2019 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship this week at Texarkana Country Club in Arkansas.
The tournament begins on Monday with the opening 18 holes of stroke play. After three rounds of stroke play, which concludes on Wednesday, the top four teams advance to match play on Thursday to determine the team champion.
Old Dominion's starting lineup includes senior Calvin Greschner, juniors Doug Rios Ceballos, Chandler Wilkins and Carter Morgan and sophomore Gustav Fransson.
ODU has a pair of top-5 finishes this season, placing fourth at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate and third at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
Texarkana Country Club is a par-72, 6,935-yard course.
The Monarchs are seeking their first-ever Conference USA title. Last year, ODU finished seventh. The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are the reigning champs.
