RICHMOND, Va. – The Old Dominion (1-7) women’s lacrosse team is set to play in-state Richmond (3-1) on Sunday Mar. 10 at 1 p.m.
The Monarchs are led offensively by Glory Johnson, Lilly Siskind, and Sophia Richie. Johnson, named Big East Attacker of the Week last week has 23 points for ODU after scoring 20 goals through eight games.
On the defensive side, Mary Katherine Maloney has racked up 13 ground balls, seven draw controls and 11 caused turnovers. In goal, Haleigh Wurzel has made 76 saves on the season, including a season high 15 saves at Davidson and 12 at High Point. Wurzel ranks first in the nation for most saves. ODU has defeated the spiders 24 times in their program history. The all time record goes in favor of ODU with a 24-21 mark.
