DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Old Dominion (1-7) lacrosse team fell at Davidson 18-6 on Sunday afternoon. Glory Johnson recorded a hat trick.
The Monarchs got out to a hot start after goals from Johnson and Sophia Richie. The game was tied with just over 11 minutes to play in the first half. The Wildcats got out to a five goal run to take a 9-4 lead heading into halftime. MK Maloney and Lilly Siskind both collected first half assists.
In the second half, ODU was outscored 9-1. Claire Porter scored the lone Monarch goal of the second half.
Defensively, Haleigh Wurzel collected a season high 15 saves in goal. ODU had 18 groundballs, while the Wildcats had 19.
Johnson leads the squad with 20 goals this season and three assists.
