NORFOLK, Va. -- Head coach Murray Rudisill and the Old Dominion men's golf program announced the signing of Rasmus Konradsson on Wednesday.
Konradsson is a junior college transfer from Andrews College in Georgia. In 2018, Konradsson was an NJCAA Division II Ping All-Region Team, a Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association All-Region selection and a Third Team NJCAA All-Academic selection.
"It is great to be able to sign another outstanding junior college transfer for next fall," said Rudisill. "Rasmus is a very good friend of our current sophomore Gustav Fransson and is also from Sweden and contacted us because of Gus giving us a very high recommendation."
This fall, Konradsson finished the fall semester ranked No. 53 in the nation and completed all 12 rounds with a fall stroke average of 73.9 and no score higher than a 76.
"Rasmus has had an outstanding career at Andrew Junior College in Georgia and has been their No. 1 player for quite some time," continued Rudisdill. "He should be able to jump into our starting lineup immediately next year."
Konradsson, from Njurunda, Sweden, will be the third Swede on the roster for 2019-20, joining Fransson and incoming freshman Filip Wetterqvist.
