NORFOLK, Va.. --
The Old Dominion team hosts national powerhouse Rice for a Conference USA weekend series at the Bud Metheny Complex this weekend.

First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. ET on Friday, 3 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday. Friday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and then CUSA.tv for Saturday and Sunday.

The Monarchs and Owls both sit at 1-5 through the first two weekends of C-USA play. Last weekend, ODU was swept at Southern Miss and Rice dropped 2-of-3 at home to UTSA.

Old Dominion is 13-4 at the friendly confines of The Bud so far this season. At home, ODU is hitting .313 as a club.

Individually, Bryce Windham (.367, 10 RBI, .495 OBP) leads the team in both average and on-base percentage and also ranks 10th among all catchers in the NCAA in OBP.

Andy Garriola (.299, 3 HR, 20 RBI) and Vinnie Pasquantino (.284, 3 HR, 16 RBI) provide the power in ODU's lineup, while Kyle Battle (.312, 2 HR, 19 RBI) has returned to his 2017 Freshman All-American form.

The weekend rotation will see a slight alteration, as lefty Tommy Gertner (1-0, 0.53 ERA) is expected to start on Saturday. Ryne Moore (4-1, 3.27 ERA) moves back to his normal Sunday role and Nick Pantos (3-1, 2.80 ERA) remains on Friday night.

The last time ODU and Rice met at The Bud, in 2017, the Monarchs swept the Owls.
