CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that it will add seven teams in Bloomsburg, Clarion, Lock Haven, Edinboro, Cleveland State, George Mason and Rider to the league effective for the 2019-20 season. The MAC will have a total of 15 teams competing, which will be the second largest conference in NCAA Division I Wrestling.

“The addition of the EWL will make the MAC one of the largest conferences in the country,” said head coach Steve Martin. “This helps the MAC by providing more opportunities against high level competition week in and week out. We look forward to welcoming the EWL to the conference!”
The Monarchs joined the MAC as an affiliate in 2013, since then, ODU has sent 29 wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
