MELBOURNE, Fla. – After 36 holes of competition, the Old Dominion women’s golf team is in eighth place at the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by Louisville. The Monarchs posted a 284 (-4) team score in the first round and 297 (+9) in the second round on the 6262-yard course. 

After the first 18 holes of the day, ODU was in a tie for the lead. Individually, Leah Onosato (70-75) and Abigail Portyrata (71-74) led the squad, both posting a two-round 145 and now in a tie for 26th. On par 5 scoring, Leah Onosato is -5, which is third most in the 90 player field.  

Charlotte De Corte (71-75) and Jana Melichova (72-74) are both tied for 32nd, while Sana Tufail (74-74) is in a tie for 47th.

Tomorrow ODU will be paired with Texas A&M and USF for a 9 a.m. shotgun.  

The Monarchs are ahead of No. 32 Kennesaw State. To view the entire leaderboard, see the attachment above.
