MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Old Dominion women’s golf team is set to compete in the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by Louisville on Feb. 18 and 19 at the Duran Golf Club. Live scoring will be on Golfstat. 36 holes will be played on Monday and 18 will be played on Tuesday.
The Monarchs are coming off a top-5 finish at the UCF Challenge, where they finished ahead of seven top-50 teams. In the Monarchs fourth place finish at the UCF Challenge, ODU posted their lowest 18 hole round in relation to par. Individually, Charlotte De Corte notched her first top-5 finish of the year with three-straight under par rounds at the UCF Challenge. In the latest national rankings, ODU jumped up to a No. 42 ranking according to Golfstat.
ODU is No. 6 in the nation on par 4 scoring and No. 11 for lowest scoring average.
Moon Golf Invitational
The Monarchs are competing in their second straight event with five or more top-50 teams. The 15 team event will have a total of 90 golfers competing. The highest rank team in the field is No. 24 Oklahoma, who will be in action for the first time this spring.
On Monday, play will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. On Tuesday, there will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
